Jesse Moore was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister in Oklahoma in July of 1975. Since that time he has worked as a youth pastor in Tulsa and Shawnee and Associate Pastor in a church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He has a Philosophy Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master’s of Education Degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Pastor Moore and his wife Denise along with two small children moved to Sioux Falls in January of 1988 to pastor Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Soon after arriving in the city Jesse began work at an auction house and as a substitute teacher. This allowed him to meet a lot of people while working to build the church. He has led this church to reach those who feel they do not fit in with a normal church. The ministry of this church includes a food pantry, clothing, prison services and recovery meetings. In 1996 Jesse started a church on the eastside of Sioux Falls, SonRise Baptist Church. He presently pastors both churches.

Jesse and Denise have three children, Jessica, 24, Joel, 20, and Jordan, 14. Denise is the librarian at O’Gorman Jr. High.
